STPNPlay is an interactive stochastic Petri nets modeling and simulation tool. It is a multithreaded Win32 application written in C++.
The Program comprisees three main functional elements: Petri Net Editor, which contains functions for creating and editing Petri net diagrams, Petri net Simulator, which allows

performance evaluation of the models and a matrix module, which is suitable for operations on incidence matrices.

WHAT IS STPNPLAY SUITABLE FOR?
STPNPlay is suitable for discrette event token player analysis of stochastic Petri net models. It was primarily written for Petri net analysis of MAC layers of non-deterministic communication protocols like Aloha, CSMA and Ethernet so its functionality is oriented in this way. E.g. it can do automated simulation sequences.

PRIORITIES IN DEVELOPMENT
Emphasis in development is dedicated to the accuracy and speed of simulation algorithm and to the portability of system models and simulated results.

AVAILABILITY, LICENCE
StpnPlay is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.

   Latest News

14.2.2004 StpnPlay has a new webpage. New webpage is more representative and it allows collecting of data about people and organisations that use StpnPlay.

1.2.2004 An example describing a simple work-flow model was added to the website. It is suitable e.g. as an introductory excercise for students.

20.10.2003 Beta version 0.85 is available for download. Several problems with stability of the simulator and were solved. Minor changes in user interface were made.

15.10.2003 New feature was added to the chart options. Now, the user chan choose, whether the chart curves are linearly interpolated or not. Disabling of the interpolation allows e.g. better understanding of models behaviour.

5.10.2003 Simulaton options dialog has been significantly changed. Now, it provides simplier orientation in selection of type of simulaion output and in selection of series simulation tasks.
